Personally, considering this is desmond's last game, I think maybe they should introduce a new animus subject but you get to personilize him/her. then make the game from either the early 17th century too about 1660, when Charles II became king, or perhaps from 1650 to early 1700's so that you can assassinate Edward Teach (Blackbeard) and mercaneries can be pirates. Also the starting blade can be a common sword or a cutlass, you can start as a pirate since your uncle is a pirate and then you can become an assassin
