Maybe instead of Feudal Japan, they put in during the Time Era of the Bakumatsu which was the Civil War over westernizing Japan. Instead of being an Ninja, being an Hitokiri which was an Assassin Samurai type deal. Kinda like Rurouni Kenshin or Samurai X. They could Matthew Commodore Perry as like the start of the Assassin's and/or Templar influence. It's just an idea, and I'd like to hear other opinions. Email me at Andrew_Kitashoji@ymail.com
