True, but they won't make this game in a Japanese setting because it would cause such internet uproar. I mean look at any gaming forum nowadays and you will see it is infested with criticisms and negative comments. Just look at this wiki, only recently has the haven for AC discussion turned sour and the shear amount of negative comments from particular users over a product that hasn't been experienced yet as well as the incessant expression of particular negative opinion. Ubisoft's PR and marketing department don't want that added hassle because even if it were to be a mind-blowingly awesome game, their reputation would be damaged prior to its release.
As mature as the average gamer is these days in terms of age and etiquette, the loudest on the internet are the more immature ones that lack any sense of restraint or sensibility to understand the potential, the scope of vision in terms of the historical setting and the gaming industry both in terms of technology and in terms of how it works. The unbelievable amount of creativity and innovativeness I have seen in the artwork does promise great things but look at the art I posted on here, rather than see what could be appreciated alongside the personal opinion of the comments, people respond in a negative manner (often just for the sake of it).
