Ancient Greece would be a very interesting setting but the setting should be during the Pelloponesean War (if im spelling it correctly :P ) . At that time there was all the action . It would be interesting to see that in both sides there are Templars and that a single assassin , without an organised brotherhood , would try to stop them from making the two great forces (Athens , Sparta ) destroy eachother . The main reason would be that if the two great forces were made weaker by the civil war , Persia could invade Greece and enslave them all . Assassins fight for Freedom so the enslavement of Greece by a foreign power would be something that they would oppose .
Now , about his equipment , i saw some talk about a shield..I think i will go with the side that says no . A shield is used in battle to protect someone in direct combat . The whole idea of an assassin is his/her ability to not engage in direct combat . Also , i wouldnt want my assassin to have a spear . Assassins must have easy to conceal weapons , not killing machines . So , a dagger or a short sword would suit the ancient greek assassin better . Armor ... He should wear something light , with a bronze breastplate and leg protectors being the only heavy items worn . A red cape and hood are necessary for the whole assassin appearance .
The places you can go should span from island Greece to mainland Greece because thats where the war is set .. Cities like Athens and Sparta would be the main locations but other cities like Megara for example could be visitable locations . Olympus would also be a great location but it is simply a very big location to be covered in its whole ... Anyway , i would really like Assassin's Creed 5 to be set in Ancient Greece ...
Assassin's Creed : Ancient Conflicts , i like the sound of it :)))
