Also Rodrigo may have been a lesser villian, however went him and Ezio did confront each other they actually talked. I know Ezio and Cesare had conversations with each other but each one was so brief, if Cesare and Ezio confronted each other for the first time in something like Sequence 3 or 4 and Cesare mocking Ezio over the siege and Mario's death while laughing would have not only pissed Ezio off but made in my opinion make him more evil.
