Still don't see why Kyd wasn't on doing the music for AC3. He worked on Darksiders 2 and is on Hitman: Absolution at the moment, and AC3 was supposedly in the works since Brotherhood was announced. They should have brought him on at that point.

I'm looking at Revelations soundtrack here to judge Lorne's work, and I have to say, it's good. Doesn't have this feel of epicness Kyd's music has, but it's solid otherwise. Granted, most of the tracks done by Lorne are basically variations of the same - "An Unsubtle Approach", "Of Life and Death" "The Hidden City" are basically the bits of Revelations' main theme or a variation of it. They work well in where they're placed, but lack the variety and pull Kyd's music has. Except for "Labored and Lost", I have to give that track props - more of the music in that direction please.

So in short, a shame Kyd's not involved. The soundtrack will be good, but will suffer from his absence.
