The reason for this link is quite simple really. According to the ancient Greek stories, Perseus was given a sword by the gods, because he would need it to be able to slay the titans he encountered. The movie depicted this with the glowing white sword, and Ubisoft depicted it with the Sword of Eden. So basically, they both gave a different depiction of the same source-text ;)
