@Kenway, I felt the same when I first joined a year ago but believe me the guys and girls on here are great people. The staff just have such responsibility on them that they just leave short, to the point messages that may sound harsh but they aren't meant to be (there is only so much they can write on comments but they will discuss thing further on their talkpages if needs be). Also, the wiki is in a state of transition at the moment from a more bureaucratic structure to a more open one where all levels can have a say and in my opinion the staff have/are succeeding at it. My advice is to jsut ask questions until you are more confident and try to get to know people on the IRC because that is how you will get to see how great an individual they are.
