I think they are going to do something like that with AC4, since we actually don't have a ranged stealthy lethal weapon anymore. Hidden blades (basic ones), swords, pistols, blowpipe, rope dart. The arsenal is quite smaller than before. Although maybe there will be smoke bombs and what not.
