Yeah, his village got tragically burned. And rebuilt before he was out of his teens, like it never happened. His mother died, sure, we agree on that. Ezio lost three relatives at once, one love interest later, and yet another relative after that. He didn't seem perpetually angry and single minded all the time about it.

If all the points you brought up were actually fleshed out for us to see, you might have some merit there. As it stands, we got a naive, boring savage who didn't learn anything during his training as an Assassin.
