User blog comment:Aegis Runestone/Revelations and Brotherhood--Delay for AC3?/@comment-4705174-20120422175029
Well the game is still considered a trilogy because ACB and ACR are not called AC3 of AC4 even though ACB is the third game in the series, and ACR is the fourth. You might call ACB, Assassin's Creed 2.5 and ACR Assassin's Creed 2.7 or something, and they couldn't go directly to AC3 because if they did the part where AC2 ended, and then just directly begin AC3 would have made no sence, also you need the sequels to explain the chlifhangers they have at the end of each game, and even if they released AC3 after AC2 it wouldn't have made no sence because at the end of AC2 Desmond and the others needed a place to hide from Abstergo, so they couldn't just go directly to the grand temple, because at the time they didn't even know it existed, or where it was. The part about Revelations being rushed is true and i blame it on the, (at the time) new creative director Alexander Amancio, i didn't realy like him, i think the new director is much better, Brotherhood was better than Revelations because the original C.Director Patreice Desilets had worked on some parts of it. As for AC3 i'm really looking forward to it and i'm really exited, i think it's going to be amazing, maybe even game of the year.
