I have some experience with poetry, so I'd like to call my opinion informed; that was pretty good. It could have done with some embellishment, such as fancier words or whatever, but it was very nice in its simplicity. You didn't waste any words, and what you said wasn't annoyingly based on themes like 'evil' or 'elemental powers'. Definitely a workeable poem, well done!
