This game is truely freaking awesome and I'm right there with you on the 'need to know' bandwagon! I didn't think anyone could be as cool as Altair, until Ezio came along...have faith in a potential better descendant still to come.. That being said I think Desmond is supposed to be THEE assassin in ACIII, I remember reading somewhere that Ubisoft said we'd see Desmond become the Ultimate Assassin..
