Edward felt good because we were playing as him. Prior to becoming an Assassin, he made it continually clear to us, as did the people around him, that he was only in it for himself. While the Templars he killed had some grander vision for the world.

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag was the first game in which I felt none of the Templars were particularly evil. Torres was quite noble, being very vocal in his opposition to slavery as well, and Woodes Rogers' practice of it.
