User blog:TranquilTempest/Ezio's Fate?

What happens to Ezio at the end of Brotherhood? He doesn't die with Cesare, and he lives on to find that vault below the Colosseum and hide the Apple there. All we know is he had kids because Desmond is alive, but with who??? Do we have to wait until AC III comes out? As a matter of fact, can we even say that he's dead? It's safe to assume he is because there are several centuries between his life and Desmond's, but it was the same case with Altair. We don't know if he died; he just took one last look at the Apple and that's it. What if Desmond is Altair and Ezio, but reborn with no recollection of the past?
