User blog:StPerkele/Project: Assassin's Creed Landmarks
As some of you might have noticed, I am currently trying to make articles for the landmarks in Assassin's Creed and reworking the already existing ones. This has proven to be extremely difficult, since a lot of the buildings do not exist anymore, never existed or are not given any specific name in the game. However, I did some research, listened to in-game conversations, took a huge lot of screenshots and was finally able to get at least a certain amount of information about most of the landmarks.
Most of them are merely stubs though, so I'd be glad if some people on here could help me with my little project and maybe gather some more information.
These are the ones I have so far:
Acre:
- Cathedral of the Holy Cross (did probably not exist, at least not in that way)
- Hospitalier Fortress (reworked)
- Maria of Jehoshafat Church
- King Richard's Citadel (not sure if it actually existed in that way)
- Acre Harbour
- Saint John's Gate
Damascus:
- Umayyad Mosque (reworked)
- Sarouja Souk
- Madrasah Al-Kallāsah (did probably not exist)
- Merchant King's Palace (did probably not exist)
- Citadel of Salah Al'Din
- Barada
- Sinan Pasha Mosque
- Souk Al-Silaah
Jerusalem:
- Solomon's Temple (reworked)
- Bab Ariha (the other gates have names too, but this is the only one where it was officially stated that it's supposed to have that name)
- Saint Anne's Church
- Temple Mount
- Dome of the Rock (minor rework)
- Al-Aqsa Mosque
- David's Citadel (did definitely never look like this)
- Church of the Holy Sepulchre
- Barbican of Jerusalem (did probably not exist)
So that's about it. I appreciate any help, so we can expand what we have. Also, if someone finds another location, please tell me, I'm willing to take screenshots and do some research ;) StPerkele 22:59, September 29, 2011 (UTC)
