Therme Wetlands

The Therme Wetlands were swamps inhabited by wolves during the 5th century BCE.

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra came to the swamps at the suggestion of Natakas, during their hunt for the man known only as "the Huntsman". Kassandra found multiple mangled bodies, as well as a young boy who fled at the sight of her. She followed him to a ghastly tree in the middle of the swamps. There, she met the Huntsman, who taunted her. Ultimately, the Huntsman set his underlings on her, while he fled the place.^[1]
