Why do we need a navbox for game DLC? -- Master Sima Yi Talk 08:29, April 13, 2013 (UTC)

Because a lot of the characters, powers and moments in the DLC do not appear in the main game whatsoever, and so do not really fit in Template:ACIII. Also, as the DLC is only accessible from the main menu, not in-game proper, it can be argued that it is a distinct product. The same argument could be given for the MP, but as we only ever list characters, it's not really worth splitting. --Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 11:51, April 14, 2013 (UTC)
The only three characters that are listed here that aren't on the AC3 navbox are the two Kanien'kehá:ka from The Infamy and Thomas Jefferson. Hardly a lot. Jefferson could easily be listed in the AC3 navbox; the other two are not particularly worthy of note in the overall scheme of things. That one event listed can simply go in the original navbox too, same with Wolf Cloack, Wolf Pack, Eagle Flight and Bear Might. I really don't see why we need yet another big ugly navbox simply to list these things, alongside a repetition of links from the original navbox. -- Master Sima Yi Talk 12:35, April 14, 2013 (UTC)
You also have to consider the fact that Template:ACIII is massively overpopulated as it is. We should be trying to avoid adding additional links to the template as all that will do is bloat it out even more. Also, this template will only get bigger with the release of The Redemption, when we have to create articles for George Washington's half-pyramid and the inevitable attack that we will participate in. Other redlinks that need to go into the template also include Washington's Attack on Lexington and Concord and his Attack on Kanatahséton, neither of which occurred in the main game. --Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 11:01, April 15, 2013 (UTC)
The pyramid is a landmark, which no other navbox includes. That makes three more links, which will likely be smalled down in the navbox as subarticles of the rebellion article. I still don't see this warranting its own navbox. It may be my own dislike for navboxes that makes me unhappy at this navbox's existence, but even from a rational viewpoint I don't agree. -- Master Sima Yi Talk 12:09, April 15, 2013 (UTC)

Reviving this to say I move to merge into AC3's navbox. In the decade since its release, the main game's box is nowhere near as bloated as was once claimed, given how Odyssey's fits its two 3-part expansions while Valhalla's is absurd. – Darman (talk) 17:10, 18 June 2024 (UTC)

Merged in Template:ACIII as there were no opposing views. – Darman (talk) 00:00, 19 February 2025 (UTC)
