Tewdwr kissing Eivor[edit source]

This is an ongoing discussion.

I'm pretty sure Tewdwr only kisses Eivor if you romanced him because he did not do so in my playthrough. I don't have the time to make minute corrections to all these memory pages, and I'm a bit confused with the coding and formatting to make this fix in this case, so I would appreciate it if someone else can help with this. I just reviewed my playthrough, and I was a bit mistaken. This whole dialogue with Tewdwr never played out for me since I spared Cynon. However, I'm still confident Tewdwr wouldn't have kissed Eivor if you did not romance him because that would be weird, and this is dependent on a single dialogue choice back in "The First Night of Samhain". At this point I've gone through the arc three times—one for each of the dialogue choices when drinking with him on The First Night of Samhain (fortunately it's a very fast arc when you've got all the fast travel points unlocked) with Cynon killed to trigger the scene in question, and I can confirm that all three of those choices result in him kissing Eivor on the cheek. This leads me to believe that there is an alternate condition to trigger the kiss, that the kiss happens regardless of any dialogue choice, or that Ubisoft initially planned for a more layered outcome that was ultimately cut (wouldn't be the first time, but I digress). Without a save editor I have no practical way of investigating every possibility to see if this scene changes at all, but I will make an educated guess that the Flirt choice only affects Tewdwr's dialogue in Holy Day; plenty of YouTube plays confirm that difference and the subtitles are already transcribed on that page, so I will strike the tabber indicating a potential fork in the kiss outcome for this page and make a small note in 'Behind the scenes'.
As an aside, this might be a history/cultural thing, but Tewdwr's tone and the kiss on the cheek do not present overly romantic to me. Though I'm admittedly not equipped to argue the customary expressions of platonic friendship exhibited by fictional 8th century Saxons. RShepard227 (talk) 10:18, 10 May 2025 (UTC)
