ACR vs. AC: Secret Crusade[edit source]
Shouldn't the events depicted in Revelations be the one represented in the article as determined by the Wiki's Canonicity guidelines? ArcLight3712 20:15, December 1, 2011 (UTC)
- I'm much more of a prolific editor on the Star Wars Wiki, so I don't presume to know this site's policies, but I think the article would be best served with a compromise between the two sources. The Secret Crusade is an official Assassin's Creed publication, and thus canon, so it cannot simply be cast aside. Any additional details that are not present in the game should be applied to the article. However, as it is portrayed as an in-universe, second-hand account as written my Niccolo Polo, I suggest that when the novel's information conflicts with the game—such as in the case of whether Maria had her throat slashed or was stabbed in the back—the game be given preference as the memories are a direct look at the "real" events. But that's just my opinion. Bella'Mia 07:05, December 2, 2011 (UTC)
- The Canonicity guidlines can be found here . The reason I'm asking is that I have only just recently been coming onto the wiki and I am uncertain if those guidelines have changed and the guidlines page just hasn't been updated. ArcLight3712 15:06, December 2, 2011 (UTC)
The Encyclopedia confirms that TSC is canon, where ACR is not. Do not add contradicting ACR info to the page. -- Master Sima Yi 15:09, December 2, 2011 (UTC)
- Indeed. Since both TSC and the Encyclopaedia suggest one particular turn of events, they outweigh Revelations. That said, I do think the difference should be mentioned in a Behind the Scenes section. EDIT: it's nice to see somebody actually read the policy for once though. --Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 16:18, December 2, 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks, that clears things up. I don't have the encyclopedia yet, so I didn't know that.ArcLight3712 19:04, December 2, 2011 (UTC)
Where does it say Swami shoved his hands down his throat and scarmbled his organs?[edit source]
Mine says he ripped his cheeks and ear off, my copy edited or something? RJX74 02:47, March 15, 2012 (UTC)
