Talk:Publius Volumnius
Source confirmation[edit source]
Where in Syndicate was he mentioned? Sol Pacificus(Cyfiero) 12:01, January 20, 2017 (UTC)
- Database: Reconstructed Data 011, although this same story was first told in the Project Legacy memory sets, I think the retelling in Syndicate was the one that explicitly identified the narrator as being Publius Volumnius. The Wikia Editor (talk) 13:27, January 20, 2017 (UTC)
- Ooh I actually just found that out immediately after I asked and went to fix it because I was too stupid to try to search it up first. Thanks for the very prompt response anyways! :) Sol Pacificus(Cyfiero) 12:45, January 20, 2017 (UTC)
Plagiarism[edit source]
Not sure if we consider taking content directly from Wikipedia plagiarism because I know other wikis have a policy where they think it's fine to copy text from Wikipedia when an article is new and stubby.
However, this line:
"Volumnius accompanied Brutus on his fateful campaign to the East, which culminated in Brutus' suicide after his defeat by the Triumvirs, Octavian, Marcus Antonius and Lepidus in the Second Battle of Philippi in 42 BCE."
is taken almost word-for-word from the Wikipedia article on Publius Volumnius. We should consider revising it or removing it actually because this information comes from real-life sources rather than an Assassin's Creed one. I don't know what is our stance about including information from real-life for historical characters. Sol Pacificus(Cyfiero) 12:45, January 20, 2017 (UTC)
