Error[edit source]
I'm fixing an error that says that Abstergo needed Desmond's blood, as they clearly do not need his blood, as has been determined by me, and D. Cello. Check the Article-Talk here.

In Italia ?[edit source]
The modern day story is based on Italy, right, but in the first AC book, it's said that Desmond is American and all the protagonist have american name. You don't think that's strange ?

- Not really, no. I'm Venetian, yet I live in America. So what's your point? :P -Assassin-of-Rayne- 12:03, December 28, 2010 (UTC)
william M/ Bill Miles[edit source]
well in the list with the modern day assassin's there is a reference to william M and Bill Miles but shouldn't we remove one of the links, they both direct you to the same page anyway... ThibautB 20:17, November 7, 2011 (UTC)
State of the article[edit source]
I should probably check the FA nominations more, but this really does not deserve its status. This entire article is one big collection of repeated info, detailing every single thing that happens in modern times which really there is no point to. The notable things can be mentioned, and the majority of the article should be about what is different in modern times compared to other time periods. About the actual modern times. Most of this page's content must go. -- Master Sima Yi Talk 09:11, August 8, 2014 (UTC)
Time era[edit source]
Can we consider the Industrial Revolution and the events in the late 19th century in the Modern Times or it's only the 20 and the 21st century? Francesco75 (talk) 06:22, August 23, 2016 (UTC)
I was just about to introduce this issue, and I'm glad to find that you have already brought it up even if it was missed for two years. Modern times usually refer to the period from the Renaissance to the current, twenty-first century in academia, with the 15th century referred to as the early modern period. I think it's acceptable to pull its definition back so that it begins with the mid-18th century (the late modern period), but it is pushing it not to include the 19th century into the modern era simply because that century is ubiquitously included in the definition. The Industrial Revolution most certainly is conventionally seen as part of the modern period, if not a defining moment.
I think sources use this name modern times to refer to the present-day period outside the historical regressions; I would have to double-check. If so, then perhaps an argument can be made that sources aren't explicit that the way modern times is used excludes the Industrial Revolution. Either way, it was likely first used before Syndicate when it wouldn't have been an issue to distinguish from the story in the historical regressions.
Personally, I would recommend moving this page to 21st century, but we probably shouldn't split it from the events of the late 20th century either. Perhaps, we can name it something along the lines of contemporary era after Wikipedia's article on contemporary history which is defined by the present period after the end of World War II in 1945? After all, even if we leave this page at 20th century, the scenes set in World War I in Syndicate would still fall under it. Sol Pacificus(Cyfiero) 15:00, January 5, 2019 (UTC)
