Surname change?[edit source]
Shouldn't it be Björmudottir? Surnames in old norse are formed by the name of one of the fathers on his genitive form + dóttir/son. Some names mantain more or less the same structure on their genitive form (Styrbjörn -> Styrbjörns, Ragnar -> Ragnars) but others introduce variations (Bjarma -> Björmu, Hel -> Heljar, Loki -> Loka). Although not a complete database, I found that the Database of Icelandic Morphology helps in some of this irregular cases. The MFDZ (talk) 18:28, 17 August 2021 (UTC)
