Deletion[edit source]

So, it turns out "Liberation" is just a short way of saying it's full title, which is the same as its real world counterpart. Stormbeast The Helpful Place 19:20, October 30, 2013 (UTC)

Ok, so what does that have to do with deletion? --Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 11:09, October 31, 2013 (UTC)
Originally, I was going to say it would suffice to be a trivia point on the real article, but then I noticed the Subject 1 stuff. Alright then, rename to "Assassin's Creed III: Liberation (video game)"? Stormbeast The Helpful Place 01:07, November 5, 2013 (UTC)
From your wanderings around the office caught on the AC4 videos, I noticed your desk also has a regular AC3 there, or at least what looks like AC3+Liberation bundle box. Have a look there, then we can go about renaming this. --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 01:11, November 5, 2013 (UTC)
In all honesty, I agree that the game is called Assassin's Creed III: Liberation in-universe, as well as in RW, but I see no problem with us leaving the article title as it is - and simply adding the main title - in the first line of the article. It would certainly save a hell of a lot of confusion when it comes to linking to articles; that's just me though...
EDIT: I must say though, I think the game boxes and books that are visible through the Montreal office in-game are intended more to be easter eggs, than canon AE products. --Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 09:40, November 5, 2013 (UTC)

Why Has This Been Made into A Separate Article?[edit source]

Enlighten me. Doop Himself 00:45, November 5, 2013 (UTC)

Have you actually read the article? I think that would answer your question sufficiently. --Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 09:38, November 5, 2013 (UTC)
I've read the article, it could have been added to the original. In the AC universe or outside of it it is still the same game. Doop Himself 20:44, November 5, 2013 (UTC)
Last I checked, OOU counterpart wasn't made from anyone's harvested memmories. --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 20:47, November 5, 2013 (UTC)

Neither are the mainstream games. Doop Himself 21:12, November 5, 2013 (UTC)

Nevermind, I'm done, I'm only confusing myself now. Doop Himself 21:13, November 5, 2013 (UTC)

How do we know that Kain, how do we know!? --Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 11:07, November 6, 2013 (UTC)

So if it's still called "Assassin's Creed III: Liberation" in the Assassin's Creed universe (like the employee passport says), but it was Abstergo Entertainment's first game and they partnered with Ubisoft to release it, then what were Assassin's Creed and Assassin's Creed II in-universe? They obviously couldn't have been the same thing they are in the real world....

  • I think it was just a fuckup by writers of that text not understanding the chronology and assuming that everything in universe had the series as it is in real life, which would be more straightforward. It's also referred to as just "Liberation", I think it's just a mistake.Occono (talk) 04:04, July 11, 2014 (UTC)

Rename[edit source]

This is an ongoing discussion.

While I know both this page and the one for Rebellion are meant to be for the in-universe Abstergo games, may I suggest we rename both to "[NAME] (Abstergo)" or some similar qualifier? I ask because we have long had the game's subtitle, or even acronyms, as redirects to the games, be it Brotherhood, Black Flag, Unity and even Origins. However, Liberation does not link to the AC3 game, nor Rebellion to the mobile game, while Odyssey instead links to Homer's epic when I feel that more people would be looking for the game. Lady Kyashira made the Valhalla redirect on the same grounds back in 2020, and I did likewise when making the Shadows redirect, so why not apply that to these media too? – Darman (talk) 03:35, 6 October 2024 (UTC)
