Who is this 'she' Juno is talking about??? I think it's supposed to be the Eve equivalent in 2012 since Lucy was evidently not the one. The way everyone is talking about it, she's a traitor; someone said something about her footsteps being red when Desmond goes outside to talk to her. Desmond can go back to the memories of Adam, so that means he's a 'true' hybrid of superhuman and human. So there's a woman out there who's exactly the same but not related? Strang3Happenings. Knowledge knows no bounds 07:07, November 20, 2010 (UTC)

Why are there references to an 'Eve' in this article? I finished the game last night and don't believe I heard anything, and I can't find a single mention of her in the posted dialogue JohnMoore 23:19, November 21, 2010 (UTC)

This (The stuff I underlined specifically)
Juno: On the 72nd day before the moment of awakening. You, birthed from our loins and the loins of our enemies. The end and the beginning, who we abhor and honor. The final journey commences. There is one who would accompany you through the gate. She lies not within our sight. The cross darkens the horizon.
Desmond: What are you doing?
Juno: The Path must be opened. You cannot escape your part in this. The scales shall be balanced.
Desmond: Stop. Please.
Juno: You know very little. We must guide you. Cease your struggle.
Desmond: No!
Juno: It is done. The way lies all before you. Only she remains to be found. Awaken the sixth. Go. ALONE!
She does not directly mention Eve but many people connect her to Eve because it's supposed to be just her and Desmond and since Desmond is an ancestor of Adam every points to her as being a descendant of Eve or "The Eve of 2012" Chris-the-killer 01:03, November 25, 2010 (UTC)
Desmond is a descendant of Adam, not an ancestor... -- Master Sima Yi 06:34, November 25, 2010 (UTC)
History might repeat. When you reach the end you might be back to square 1 if you are unlucky enough. Reminds me of The Matrix Reloaded. Blix1ms0ns 01:44, November 29, 2010 (UTC)
The cross darkens the horizon? she may be held captive by abstergo?

Where is the name "Juno" ever mentioned? How do you know it's her? -- Master Sima Yi 06:34, November 25, 2010 (UTC)

To add to that little bit Master Sima Yi said, I don't think Juno would refer to herself in the 3rd person; she's not crazy. She just needed a 'sacrifice' (Lucy) to be awakened. I guess blood is the essence of life needed to bring Juno back. That'd be insane if Juno took over Lucy's body as it is, with the exception of her voice. Desmond would be weirded out. Strang3Happ3nings 07:29, November 25, 2010 (UTC)

"You, birthed from our loins and the loins of our enemies." Perhaps Juno was not using Lucy as a Sacrifice but as a warning. Juno took control of Desmond so easily and forced him to do something he never would have done normally. The reference to the loins of our enemies could show that she doesn't trust Desmond and wants to force him onto her side. Killing Lucy would in theory force him to obey, as he would know their power. However, if Desmond has nothing else to lose...

Juno stated that she needed a sacrifice in the game. Lucy is that sacrifice. Plus, she would distract Desmond from finding this 'Eve' character, if she's even a human and not a program or a reference to something else entirely. She saw the danger in letting Lucy live (possible traitor), so Juno took action when Desmond didn't because she knew he wouldn't. Strang3Happ3nings 02:30, December 3, 2010 (UTC)

Uses for "Eve" and Desmond[edit source]

"Almost did we have the means." 'Have as in now has or have as in nearly do... Possibly, Juno wants Desmond and Eve to be the only ones to survive the upcoming apocolypse (sun exploding etc) and wants to hide them away in a vault similar to the ones we have already seen until they can come out again an repopulate the earth.

Ever heard of Hercules or Heracles?[edit source]

Ever heard of Hercules or Heracles? I am not talking about the one from Disney.

The summary of prologue of The Twelve Labours of Hercules was that hercules is found in wikipedia

"Driven mad by Hera, Heracles slew his own children. To expiate the crime, Heracles was required to carry out ten labors set by his archenemy, Eurystheus, who had become king in Heracles' place. If he succeeded, he would be purified of his sin and, as myth says, he would be granted immortality. Heracles accomplished these tasks, but Eurystheus did not accept the cleansing of the Augean stables because Heracles was going to accept pay for the labor. Neither did he accept the killing of the Lernaean Hydra as Heracles' cousin, Ioloas, had helped him burn the stumps of the heads. Eurysteus set two more tasks (fetching the Golden Apples of Hesperides and capturing Cerberus), which Heracles performed successfully, bringing the total number of tasks up to twelve."

Hercules's labors:

"

  1. Slay the Nemean Lion.
  2. Slay the nine-headed Lernaean Hydra.
  3. Capture the Golden Hind of Artemis.
  4. Capture the Erymanthian Boar.
  5. Clean the Augean stables in a single day.
  6. Slay the Stymphalian Birds.
  7. Capture the Cretan Bull.
  8. Steal the Mares of Diomedes.
  9. Obtain the girdle of Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons.
  10. Obtain the cattle of the monster Geryon.
  11. Steal the apples of the Hesperides.
  12. Capture and bring back Cerberus.

"

Juno is the roman version of hera.

What is Desmond's Twelve Labours?

For those TL;DR:

Hera [Juno] made Hercules crazy and because of his craziness Hercules' killed his wife and kids. To be forgiven he must do 12 things. Blix1ms0ns 02:00, November 29, 2010 (UTC)'

An Interesting Theory[edit source]

Someone on YahooAnswers had a good theory concerning Lucy and Desmond. This person said that Lucy might be Eve's incarnate or other direct ancestor, but working for the wrong people, which is why Juno said 'She lies not within our sight,' and 'the Cross darkens the horizon,' meaning her thinking has been clouded by the Templar's influence. It's not until she dies and is brought back by the Shroud that she realizes her mistake and fulfills her role as the modern-day Eve, and then has Desmond's child, who goes into shock. Desmond's sixth sense is the ability to see the dead, which is what the 6th sense refers to, unless it's the ability to see the future. He needs to use the Shroud to bring Lucy back as she should be and then they go to find the answer to save the world. This person also said something about Eden being heaven, or in the AC universe, death, since Lucy says she's afriad of death. Not sure if she really said something about a fear of dying; someone should look that up to be sure. Plus, they believe it's more than a coincidence that her name sounds like Lucina, Juno's Roman name meaning goddess of childbirth. However, that meaning is not used to describe Juno, it is 'she who brings children into light'. And even if that were the case, Lucy would be the protector of childbirth, not the actual woman who gives birth, so maybe her death is an ensurance of a child's birth. Plus, Juno would be doing the favor, not Lucy. Juno's name meanings can be found on Wikipedia if anyone is curious. Please note: THIS IS NOT MY THEORY. IT'S SOMEONE ELSE'S. So feel free to criticize and point out the errors.

I find one fault in this theory. It is the following line: "Desmond's sixth sense is the ability to see the dead, which is what the 6th sense refers to, unless it's the ability to see the future."

Juno, in the vault, says that they created man with five senses, but she and all other of Those Who Came Before had six senses. They all shared sight, smell, touch, taste, hearing; the one thing she said they were not given (because they could not comprehend it, but "only try") is knowledge. Knowledge, in this case, is "what is known in a particular field" or "be absolutely certain or sure about something" according to Oxford English Dictionary. I believe that Juno, Minerva, and the other "gods" intentionally built man to not possess that final sense, so as not to have resistance against the PoEs. HiddenBlade91 01:55, April 1, 2011 (UTC)

I think Juno used desmond to make Lucy a suitable host for herself and will become the main antagonist, " She is not who you think she is. Everything you hope to become, everything you hold dear, it's already gone.' Eden. She... in Eden. Find Eve. The Key. Her DNA...'" and "On the 72nd day before the moment of awakening.

" all give clues of this.

Also when subject 16 mentions desmond having a son maybe (this sounds quite stupid) but perhaps when juno overpowered desmond she used him to impregnate her through his blade as he stabbed her in such a specific place (yes i know its a more of a sword than a pork sword but think of dogma).

Moviemaster1993 15:00, May 6, 2011 (UTC)

Where she got stabbed[edit source]

I know this is crazy and might just be nothing (or meant to be under lucy's page) but seems like Juno forced Desmond to stab Lucy in the womb. Seems to low to be the stomach looking at the picture. Could mean something, could not. Like, for example keep in mind, that she is a traitor and pure blood human but is carrying maybe 16 or Desmond's kid and she's the cross that darkens the horizon.

just an edit to this crazy idea is what subject 16 said to Desmond:

"the key her DNA" and "I cannot... the sun (maybe son)... your son"

In anycase he probably has Lucy's blood on his hidden blade AND trapped in the animus too (no one said it was v2.0) but once again, might be nothing.

Subject 16[edit source]

When Juno said "There is one who would accompany you through the gate." Does she probably mean Subject 16? I mean it kinda makes sense. --Cococrash11 22:05, January 29, 2012 (UTC)

Animus 3.0[edit source]

Does anyone had the same creepy sighting I got? The first time Desmond gets out of the animus, when William punches him, In the moment I get far from the animus she appears next to it, possibly a cause of the bleeding effect?Xboxmarston (talk) 01:41, November 12, 2012 (UTC)
