Talk:Eve
Gallery[edit source]
Why are there four images of realworld artistic representations of Eve on this article? As far as I can remember, none of these paintings appear in-game, and the sourcing images policy prohibits the uploading of images - realworld or otherwise - purely for use in a gallery (especially if they're not even mentioned, let alone seen IU.) --Jasca Ducato (talk | contributions) 13:51, April 25, 2015 (UTC)
- All of these appear in the games. And they were already used on other pages.--Bovkaffe (talk) 13:55, April 25, 2015 (UTC)
- Not according the the file pages, none of which list an IU appearance. (They're incorrectly sourced, which in itself is grounds for deletion.) Also, "they were already used on other pages" is not a valid reason to keep an image, especially when these images are only used in other galleries. --Jasca Ducato (talk | contributions) 14:03, April 25, 2015 (UTC)
- They're from the glyphs, in-game painting galleries and Abstergo Files. What exactly is your problem with them appearing on this page as well? They all have relevance to Eve, and they are all used in the games.--Bovkaffe (talk) 14:07, April 25, 2015 (UTC)
- My "problem" is that inclusion of images solely for use in a gallery is illegal; the Fair Use rationale allows for use of images only when they serve a descriptive purpose (inclusion in gallery is not descriptive), and our images policy explains this. That being said, since these images are apparently shown in-game (though I still cannot remember seeing them) and are, at least for those in the Abstergo Files, used in the main body of an article, my concerns have been addressed. --Jasca Ducato (talk | contributions) 14:52, April 25, 2015 (UTC)
Typo in Biblical section[edit source]
Under Mythology -> Biblical, the last sentence is "Once Adam reached the age of 930, after fathering a further 30 sons and 30 daughter, he died. Eve soon followed six days later." The word "daughter" should be changed to "daughters" to make it plural, as well as consistent with the equivalent section in the Adam article.
I'm completely new to any kind of wiki editing, so I'm not sure how I would go about making this change myself. I see that the article is locked, but I'm not sure what the proper channels would be for a noob such as myself to unlock it (especially for changing a single letter). Sorry if I've gone about this wrong! Booksds (talk) 18:54, 29 March 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for pointing that out, I fixed it. VilkaIsBack (talk) 09:05, 31 March 2024 (UTC)
