Inconsistency

This might be just assumption, but could the DDS be a subsystem of the Animus? The program is likely used in Brotherhood multiplayer (since the recruits can't all possibly be blood-related to all the characters), but if I remember right, Vidic says in the intro video that they're using Animi. =GuardDog 21:52, August 9, 2011 (UTC)

• The DDS is the device that allows for the recording of one's genetic memories, nothing more. It's the Animi that allow individuals to view said memories obtained from the DDS. Another inconsistency:

Project Legacy cannot be projecting solely genetic memories. Niccolò di Pitigliano's death precludes his having children to genetically pass the memory of his death on to, yet it is still projected from his perspective, rather than that of Francesco Vecellio. An alternative explanation is that the Pieces of Eden can store or activate memories. The trailer for Assassin's Creed Brotherhood shows Ezio following in Altair's footsteps, in an analog of the Bleeding effect, centuries before an animus was available to project his genetic memories. The Piece of Eden must have activated these memories for him.

Likewise, Abstergo must have somehow extracted the memory of di Pitigliano's death from the shroud itself, or it was somehow passed onto Francesco by the shroud. 76.114.114.72 04:12, October 11, 2011 (UTC)Jason Northrup

Actually, that latter explanation seems more likely to me, given Giovanni Borgia dreamt of the memories of other people who touched the Shroud, including his father and Brutus. That would still make the memories of Niccolò part of Francesco's genetic memories then =GuardDog 04:21, October 11, 2011 (UTC)
