Fourth set of Crusaders[edit source]
According to the Assassin's Creed: Official Game Guide, the game actually distinguishes between four types of Crusaders, not just Knights Templar, Knights Hospitalier, and Knights Teutonic. They are the "Lionheart Crusaders"—technically the English army. In the gallery of the article, we have the Lionheart crusaders but not the Knights Templar, aside from the special type that serves kind of as a killable collectible.
Compare the uniform of the Lionheart crusaders with the uniform of the Templar crusaders:

Maybe you guys already knew, but the article doesn't really reflect the fact there are four types of Crusaders, with the Lionhearts distinguished from the Templars since from what I've read it always sounded like fans thought that the English army was equated with the Templars (and French with Hospitalier and German with Teutonic). This isn't necessarily true, and obviously isn't true in the lore, since King Richard I had his own men (the English army) and the Templars, while serving with the English army, was its own faction with closer ties to the Kingdom of Jerusalem, at least publicly.
