Vlad the Impaler

Saw this somewhere on the Ubiforums, the Count's hat looks exactly like the one Vlad the Impaler used to wear, just compare the pictures. I know, merely specuation, still quite interesting. StPerkele 14:10, September 28, 2011 (UTC)

The problem is that when people think of the Count they think of Count Dracula and as Vlad was known to be the basis of this character then they impose the idea of him being one and the same character in the game. Vlad was a Prince and a King and historically he only held the title of Count in his younger days (as a boy). More then likely it has something to do with the Count character coming from the same region or dynasty that he is wearing similar clothing (the hat). Didn't even make the connection to Count Dracula when writing this, to be honest. Just thought that "count" was a proper translation for "voivode", or at least would be close in its meaning. You're probably right though, he mighst just be a count of Wallachia and is thus wearing similar clothes. No multiplayer character so far was based on an actual historical person; that would support your theory. StPerkele 14:34, September 28, 2011 (UTC)
