Assassin/Templar percents[edit source]
When you buy them, the books have -/+ percentage with either an assassin or templar symbol. What does this value do exactly? My assumption has been that it decreases awareness, but I'm having difficulty finding a straight answer.

Every non-consumable purchase (be it shops, weapons, etc.) increases awareness, in what I assume was an attempt to stop people from purchasing too much (I don't really understand why).

- No, it's Tax for Templars, and Discount for Assassins. Basically, you pay more with the Templar tax put on an item in Templar-controlled area, and you get a discount once you liberate it and renovate shops. --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 00:40, May 3, 2013 (UTC)
