It is never said this is the Ark of the Covenant. One of the assassins suggests it, but Altair quickly dismisses it as a myth. We can't base a whole article in a speculation from a secondary character.

It Has a lot to do with the story- the Ark of the covenant has the apple on it. Which if you've played the games you'll realize that the apple is Very Important. Girlaloud05 07:20, May 29, 2011 (UTC)
