Suzanna was a French prostitute and a frequent acquaintance of the Marquis de Sade who worked in Ventre de Paris.
Biography[edit | edit source]
Suzanna was working as a prostitute in northern Ventre de Paris during the French Revolution. One of her clients, the Marquis de Sade, used his own equipment during their affairs. Although warned by her fellow co-workers, Suzanne continued her meetings with the marquis and even considered a friend that he recommended. Unknown to her, de Sade's valet Olivier was disdainful of his employer and his friends because he found their sexual acts abhorrent.[1]
One night at a brothel, Olivier met Suzanna and brought along replicas of de Sade's instruments with which he attacked her, binding her and set up the scene to make it appear as though the marquis was the culprit. Despite the attempt at framing the marquis, the French Assassin Arno Dorian unraveled the truth, discovering not just Olivier's guilt but also that he had acted on Louis Antoine de Saint-Just's instruction. As a result, Olivier was taken to jail by Arno for Suzanna's murder.[1]
