The Spring of Rheitoi

The Spring of Rheitoi was a saltwater spring near the Sanctuary of Eleusis in the Sacred Plains of Demeter in Attika, Greece.

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan king Archidamos led the Athenian cavalry here, and the people of the Sanctuary used the spring as a place of worship. It was also visited by the Spartan misthios Kassandra over the course of her travels.
