Sotomo Cove

Sotomo Cove was a cove situated in northern Sotomo Gate in Wakasa, Japan.

History[edit | edit source]

In 1582, the Kakushiba ikki member and samurai Yasuke followed a trail of dead Takeda soldiers after finding evidence of Nagano Saemon being responsible. Within the cove, he found another dead soldier and while inspecting it, he was nearly struck by Saemon's arrow. When Yasuke challenged him, Saemon agreed but to a fatal duel of bows. After a lengthy fight, Yasuke bested Saemon, whose last words pleaded for forgiveness from his fallen lord Uesugi Kenshin. Before leaving, Yasuke acquired a bow Blood Rain from Saemon's personal effects.[1]
