Serpent's Landing

Serpent's Landing was a small islet off the northern coast of East Anglia, England.

In 873, Vikings from Rued's clan made camp on the island, which they used to launch a raid on the Beteleah Farm near the village of Elmenham. Few days later, the camp was raided by a coalition of the thegn Oswald, and Vikings Finnr and Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan, as part of a trial to build up Oswald's confidence. The group killed Rued's Vikings and looted the camp of its treasures, which Oswald used to bring back to Norwich to impress his spouse's brothers.
