Scythe

The Scythe was a scythe made and used in the 5th century BCE Greece. Originally a farmer's tool, the scythe could perform well as a weapon as well.

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra found this weapon in the inventories of blacksmiths and looted it from bodies and chests during her travels throughout Greece.[1]

Description
This is traditionally a farmer's tool, but its shape implies something far more threatening.

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

The Scythe, a weapon in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, shares the same model as a number of other similar weapons in the same game, including the Harvest Axe, another weapon in the same game. They are both recycled from the Serpent Axe, a weapon in Assassin's Creed: Origins.
