Sardinia is a large island in the Mediterranean Sea. It is part of Italy, and lies west of it and just south of Corsica.

History[edit | edit source]

Following the Treaty of The Hague in 1720,[1] the Kingdom of Sardinia was handed by the Spanish Empire to the Italian House of Savoy. With the territory also being coveted by the French during the Seven Years' War, Templar Shay Cormac sent envoys to the island to influence those in power towards their ideals.[2] These hand-picked envoys managed to sway the then-new governor and he shared news of naval activities of both France and Italy with the Templars.[3]

In the mid-19th century, Sardinia allied itself with Britain, France, and the Ottoman Empire to against the expansion of the Russian Empire into Ottoman territory in the Crimean War.[4]
