Sarah Whitehead (fl. 1811 – 1836) was a regular patron of the Bank of England.

She visited the Bank everyday for 25 years, on account of her brother, a former employee there, being executed in 1811 for forgery. Sarah, overcome with grief and trauma from the event suppressed the memory, everyday she came to the bank asking to see her brother.[1]

Sarah's story eventually inspired the nickname of the bank, "The Old Lady of Threadneedle Street."[1]
