Roald Engelbregt Gravning Amundsen (1872 – c. 1928) was a Norwegian explorer

Inspired by John Franklin's attempt to the Northwest Passage, Roald himself led an expedition 1903 to voyage to the passage and successfully returned home in 1906.[1]
