Ravensburg

Ravensburg was a hillfort in the south of Grantebridgescire, England.

In 873, the fort was governed by thegn Randwald, who was loyal to the ealdorman and Order of the Ancients member Wigmund. As such, it became a target of assault by the Vikings under Soma, who sought to eliminate Wigmund's influence. Soon, the fort was stormed and raided by Soma's advisor Birna with aid from Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan.^[1]

Sometime after these events, the fort was occupied by men led by Edward, Earl of Westerna, its wall rebuilt thanks to the wealth of the Order of the Ancients member Makira. From the fort, Edward made plans to eliminate the Vikings in the area, in particular the Raven Clan, whom he blamed for the loss of his lands where the clan had established their settlement of Ravensthorpe. One of these plans involved having his men steal Raven Clan outfits from the settlement and use them to impersonate the Vikings while conducting raids; a plan which partially succeeded. Not long after, however, Edward's schemes were discovered by Eivor who, with the Hidden One Roshan's backing, infiltrated the fort and eliminated Edward, while Makira was assassinated by Roshan.^[2]
