Philae, 1340

Philae was an island in southern Egypt, originally located near the Nile river before becoming submerged.[1] Since ancient times, the island was the site of a temple complex that housed several temples dedicated to the Egyptian gods, including Aset and Sobek.

History[edit | edit source]

In the 1st century BCE, Habibah, a member of the Order of the Ancients working as a doctor, made the Temple of Philae her home after surviving several assassination attempts by the Hidden Ones. She would eventually be killed inside the Temple of Sobek by the Hidden One Khepri, who recovered an Isu dagger from Habibah's chest of trinkets.[2]

In 1340, the Egyptian Assassin Numa Al'Khamsin and his disciple Ali Al-Ghraib were summoned to the Temple of Aset on the island by an Assassin Elder, to discuss the recent theft of the Scepter of Aset. After learning about the Scepter's history and powers, Numa was tasked with recovering it from the Templars.[3]
