Peneios Camp

The Peneios Camp was a military camp in the Kingdom of Pelops in Elis, Greece. Found in the northern part of the region, it was home to a small military force. It was named after the river Pineios which flowed nearby.
During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra explored the place, killed the captain, and claimed their valuables.[1]
