Order Soldier's Gauntlets

The Order Soldier's Gauntlets were a pair of gauntlets found in 5th century BCE Greece. They were part of an armor set commonly worn by the infantry of the Order of the Ancients.

Their appearance was no different to the armor worn by the Persian military.[1]

History[edit | edit source]

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra obtained a pair after rescuing an Athenian general and two of his soldiers from Spartan captors, escorting them to safety, and then destroying the fleet of the Spartan commander.[1]
