Olric

Olric was a soldier stationed in Saint Guthlac's Point, Lincolnscire, England in the late 9th century.

Following ealdorman Hundbeorht's move from the town of Lincoln to Bolingbroc Castle in his last moments before his death, his thegn Berthstan asked Olric for a transfer of men from Saint Guthlac's Point to Bolingbroc to further increase its integrity and strength. Olric sent his men as requested, though in turn made a request of Berthstan to displace several of the soldiers from the smaller hamlets to increase the security around the waters of Witham River.
