The Old Gravesham Bridge was a heavily-guarded stone bridge in Medieval England, connecting the shires of Essexe and Cent.
In thr 870s, the Viking Eivor Varinsdottir visited the bridge and cleared the area of guards, recovering a nickel ingot and a Spartan Shield in the process.[1]
