Okaleia the Lotus Eater was a mercenary who operated in Greece during the 5th century BCE.

Biography

Okaleia was once a nefarious smuggler who traded contraband goods across the Aegean Sea. Her career was profitable until she sampled a forbidden fruit which was the sweetest she had ever eaten. It was believed the taste drove her mad, as she became obsessed with finding the fruit's origins and killing all those she believed kept the information from her.

During the Peloponnesian War, a bounty was placed on Okaleia, and it was collected by the Spartan misthios Kassandra.
