The Moonlit Crescent

The Moonlit Crescent was a sickle sword used in the 5th century BCE Greece. A unique beauty in daylight, the blade was radiant when exposed to moonlight.

By the time of the Peloponnesian War, the blade had been hidden within old, crumbling ruins on the island of Keos. When the Spartan misthios Kassandra explored the ruins, she discovered the sword, and kept it.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

The Moonlit Crescent, a weapon in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, shares the same model as the commonly found Barbed Blade, another weapon in the same game. These are both the recycled model of the Thorn, a weapon in Assassin's Creed: Origins.
