Menelaion

The Menelaion was a shrine located on a rocky cliff overlooking the city of Sparta in Lakonia. It was dedicated to King Menelaus of Sparta and his wife Helen.

During the Peloponnesian War the sanctuary was visited by the Spartan misthios Kassandra.[1]
