The Memorial of the Amazons was an altar near the Temple of Zeus in the southeastern part of Athens. It was allegedly the tomb of the Amazon Antiope, who was mortally wounded by the hero Theseus during the Amazonian invasion of Attika.[1]
During the Peloponnesian War, the tomb was visited by the misthios Kassandra.[2]
