Mary Wollstonecraft (1759 – 1797) was an English writer and philosopher, and the mother of novelist Mary Shelley.[1]
Legacy[edit | edit source]
In May 1853, the Assassin apprentice Simeon Price, under the alias of "Jack Straw", returned several philosophical books to his mentor, Oscar Kane. Among them, Wollstonecraft's 1794 title An Historical and Moral View of the French Revolution.[2]
